Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 27, 2026  ยท  Last updated: June 27, 2026

Short version: CoinCity is a kids' educational app. We collect only what we need to run the game. We never sell data, never show ads, and parents are in full control of their child's information. Children under 13 cannot create accounts โ€” a parent must set everything up.

1. Who We Are

CoinCity ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by CoinCity LLC, a US-based limited liability company. We build CoinCity, a financial literacy mobile game for children ages 5 and up ("the App").

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at support@coincitykids.com.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ COPPA Notice โ€” Children's Privacy

The App is directed to children under the age of 13. We comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the FTC's COPPA Rule.

Children cannot create accounts directly. A parent or legal guardian must create a parent account, read this Privacy Policy, and provide verifiable consent before any child profile is created. This consent is recorded in our database with a timestamp.

We do not collect more personal information from children than is reasonably necessary to provide the App's services.

Parents may review, correct, or request deletion of their child's data at any time โ€” see Section 7 for how.

6. Leaderboard and Public Information

CoinCity includes a leaderboard showing children's progress within their league (Bronze, Silver, or Gold). The leaderboard displays:

The leaderboard does not display the child's full name, savings balances, age, or any other personal information. Other users cannot identify a child from the information shown. If you would like your child's profile excluded from the leaderboard, please contact us at support@coincitykids.com.

7. Data Deletion Policy

Your right to delete is absolute. You can permanently delete all child data โ€” immediately, without contacting us โ€” directly from within the app. We are required to honour deletion requests under COPPA and we make it as easy as possible.

  2. Tap Parents โ†’ Manage Child Profiles
  3. Tap the ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ trash icon next to the child's name
  4. Confirm deletion in the prompt

This immediately and permanently deletes all of that child's data including: city progress, buildings, coin balance, savings jar balances, transaction history, daily challenge records, and playtime logs. This action cannot be undone.

Deleting your full account and all child data

  4. You will be signed out automatically

This immediately deletes all child profiles, all associated game data, and your parent profile. Your email address (held in our authentication system) is queued for deletion and removed within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your authentication record has been fully purged.

Requesting deletion by email

If you are unable to access the app, you may request deletion by emailing support@coincitykids.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 10 business days and send a confirmation when complete.
